A fictional architectural study by VELFRANO in the Serra de Grândola, Alentejo: a travertine ground volume, an oak-clad upper volume, 24 metres of south glazing and a 14 metre reflecting pool, told as one continuous film.

  1. Arrival. A house that does not stand on the landscape; it becomes part of it.
  2. Form. Two horizontal volumes, one heavy, one light. An abstract model to turn, split and open.
  3. Facade. 24 metres of south glass between travertine and oak.
  4. Threshold. The line between landscape and interior disappears.
  5. Interior. Light, stone, oak, silence.
  6. Materials. Travertine, oak, lime plaster.
  7. Landscape. The 14 metre water line; cork oak, olive, dry-stone walls, golden grass.
